The Children’s Department houses books, magazines, videos, learning kits, and more for babies, toddlers, and elementary school children.  Family Fun Story Time for babies to school age children is held on Wednesday mornings from 9:30-9:50 followed by 10:00 and 10:30 times available for scheduled groups.   Story Time activities include songs, stories, and crafts and helps introduce little ones to small groups.  School-aged children from PreK-5th grades have their own program, Book Connection, held on Thursday afternoons from 3:30-4:30pm.  Month-long sessions are developed around a theme.  The afternoon begins with a snack and a story, and ends with a take-home craft related to the current theme. All programs are free.  Children 7 and younger must have a parent stay with them, however, we encourage a parent of older children to remain on site.
