Archive availability
The library’s archive collection will be unavailable Thursday, May 17. We are hosting a traveling archivist who will be helping us make sure we’re preserving El Reno’s history as well as we can.
Please call 262-2409 or email the library to schedule a visit for another time. Thank you!
Library Closed Burger Day
The library will be closed Saturday, May 5 for Burger Day! As we have for several years, the library staff will be working in the Information Booth at the annual festival. Stop by and see us!
Mobile catalog page
If you visit our website from your mobile device, you’ll notice some changes! Our catalog page (the place the search for titles, access OverDrive e-content, and renew your books) now has a slick new mobile interface! Preview it in your browser by clicking here.
The catalog page should automatically display in the mobile format when you visit it from your phone, tablet, etc. You shouldn’t notice any changes to the catalog if you’re accessing from a regular computer.
Let us know what you think! We’re excited about this upgrade!
Larger selection of e-books
When you search the library’s catalog page, you’ll see some new resources available. They are e-books from Project Gutenberg and downloadable audio books from LibriVox.
A few tips:
- Project Gutenberg & LibriVox titles are usually classics that are no longer under copyright restrictions.
- These titles have no due date. Once you download them you can keep them forever! You might want to choose a Gutenberg title over a OverDrive title for that reason.
- Gutenberg e-book titles are available in a variety of formats (HTML, EPub, Kindle, etc.)
- Most LibriVox titles are MP3s
